Manually Install Microsoft .NET 4.6.1

As advised, please find below the instructions for installing .NET 4.6.1 onto your computer.

The process shouldn't take more than 15 minutes on most systems, and is fairly straightforward.

• Step 1

  Download the .NET 4.6.1 Installer from here (approx 65 mb)

  Chrome:

  Internet Explorer - Click Save:

• Step 2

  Run the downloaded file (NDP461-KB3102436-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe)

  Chrome - Click on the completed file:

  Internet Explorer - Click on the RUN button:

• Step 3

  This will bring up the following screen. Tick the 'I have read and accept the license terms' and then click 'Install'

  

• Step 4

  The installer will now install the files.

  

• Step 5

  After a couple of moments, the installer will finish and the following screen will appear. Click 'Finish'

  

• Step 6

  Now restart your computer to ensure all updates are in place and the installation is complete.
