Purpose

There are many times that internet applications can slow down or stop working even when it seems that the internet is working fine.

This is because there is more than one internet. What people think of as the internet is actually a vastly complicated series of multiple networks that are warking together to give you the experience of a signle internet.

You may have heard of or been asked to do a speedtest in the past. Speedtest is designed to measure the maximum potential speed of your internet connection, and does this by finding the closest and faster network to measure the speed.

While this is good for general numbers, for troubleshooting this is not a good way to get a true indication of internet performance.

  3. Select the Sydney - Telstra server.

    This will begin the test.

  4. Copy Results and send them to Helpdesk

This can be done by either screenshotting the results, but the preferred way is to click the 'Share This Result' image and copy the link.
