Symptoms

When you attempt to email a document or report, nothing seems to happen on the screen OR a popup appears from Outlook similar to the below:

If you click email and nothing seems to happen, please open Outlook (which should be highlighted in the Windows taskbar at the bottom of the screen). When Outlook is open, you should see the popup above.

Cause

As long as you are using software within the system requirements, this is usually caused due to a conflict in the Windows Security Centre.

The single most common cause is Anti-Virus reporting as turned off or definitions out of date.

Resolution

Ensure that the Security Section of the Action Centre (found in Control Panel - Action Centre) is reporting 'Green' or all is 'OK'.
