Unable to Bind Twice

Symptoms

When attempting to convert an Allianz interface quote or incomplete renewal, the user receives an error containing the message "Policy (Insurer Policy Number) is already bound. Cannot bind twice."

Cause

This error is caused when a quote or incomplete is successfully converted (bound) on Allianz's system but cannot be converted in iaAnyware, usually due to deadlock. The user then attempts to convert again, but the quote is already bound in Allianz's system and so the user receives an error. As part of the 2.0.12 release we will be increasing the number of retry attempts after deadlock and this will hopefully solve the problem, but in the meantime the following workaround will be neccessary.

Resolution

Refer to your helpdesk to escalate this issue to iaAnyware Support, who will in turn perform the necessary back-end steps to resolve your issue on your behalf.
