Installation of iaAnyware
Before Starting
Please ensure that your system meets the minimum standard requirements as shown on the System Requirements page
Step 1 - Determine your Windows System Type
It is important before you begin to know not only what version of Windows you are running, but also the System Type - commonly referred to as the 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows.
Step 1.1
Start Windows Explorer by pressing the ‘Windows Key’ (usually bottom right of your keyboard between ‘Ctrl’ and ‘Alt’) and ‘E’ at the same time.
Right-click on 'This PC', and select Properties
Step 1.2
This will open the System Properties screen. Under System Type, it will display either 32-bit Operating System or 64-bit Operating System.
Step 2 - Downloading the setup files
Step 2.1
Go to www.iaanyware.net and click on the 'Client Login' in the top right corner.
Step 2.2
Enter the login credentials given to you by Helpdesk
Step 2.3
Click on the Download link next to the appropriate installer for you.
- If you have 32 bit Windows, select iaAnywareSetup32.exe
- If you have 64 bit Windows, select iaAnywareSetup64.exe
Step 2.4
When the file has finished downloading, you will be offered the chance to Run the file. If you don't, open the file location and double click on the file.
You may get a message similar to ‘The Publisher Could Not Be Verified’ – select ‘Run’ and turn to Step 3.2 to continue installing the application.
Step 3 - Installing the Application
Assuming that the above has been followed, now it is simply a case of letting the installer continue.
Step 3.1
When the installer opens, all you should need to do is press the 'Install' button. You can specify a new installation directory if you wish, but the standard directory is recommended.
Step 3.2
Now the installer will install the iaAnyware Applications. If the installation requires any further components, the installer will grab them automatically.
